I SEE DEAD KIDS

The day is near when I, the LORD, will judge all godless nations! As you have done to Israel, so it will be done to you. All your evil deeds will fall back on your own heads. Obadiah 1:15

NO JUSTICE

NO PEACE

NO LOVE

NO COMPASSION

NO GOD

1 child dead, 2 more hurt in 2 separate drive-by shootings just blocks away from each other.

A 4-year-old boy who loved dinosaurs and basketball, was sleeping on the floor in an apartment in Kansas City, Missouri, when he was shot on June 29, 2020.

In St. Louis, 9-year-old Caion Greene died in March when someone opened fire on his family’s car.

Two Minneapolis children were gunned down in May.

Nine-year-old Trinity Ottoson-Smith was shot in the head while jumping on a trampoline.

On Oct. 2 in Milwaukee, an 11-year-old girl was killed and a 5-year-old girl was injured when someone fired into their family’s car from another vehicle.

Jamari Williams and Kentrell McNeal, both 15-year-old students at Simeon Career Academy High School in Chicago, were killed in separate shootings on Sept. 21.

At Philadelphia’s Simon Gratz High School Mastery Charter, five students were killed and nine others were shot.

Just weeks into the new school year, two students and a recent graduate have been killed.

On the day before Father’s Day last year, someone fired shots at a group of boys on the front porch of a Chicago home. The bullet missed the boys but pierced a window into the dining room where 13-year-old Amaria Jones was showing her mom a dance routine she was perfecting for TikTok.

This is a drop of water in a river full of blood.

I don’t know about yall but I’m so sick and tired of being sick and tired of hearing about our babies being killed. They are the collateral damage to a society that has not realized that guns do kill people, because people have guns. There is no difference. I don’t care how you beg to differ when it’s all said and done somebody’s baby is dead.

Are you really that surprised? Do you have amnesia? Really! Think!

When there is a group of people who has never been shown compassion, love, peace, or justice. What makes you think they will show those things to anybody else? Poverty breeds war for all people, drugs bring violence for all people, hunger breeds desperation for all people.

So don’t think it’s unusual when you see the amount of killings going on everywhere these days regardless of your socioeconomic status, race or color. We are living in a melting pot and not the one that is called America but a pot melting, bubbling, about to explode, and it’s called INEQUALITY!

It reminds me of an animal who’s normally docile and gentle in nature, but when they get hungry, scared, or desperate and you back them in a corner they become deadly and that’s what’s happening now.

You see it everywhere. People have lost respect for people.

In their homes, at their churches, on their jobs, in the streets, on buses, planes trains and automobiles and the White house.

Oh My!

People know the justice system is a joke.  People won’t wear masks or get a shot that could literally save people’s lives, but they want to control a women’s body. We keep allowing white boys to carry rifles in the midst of mass shootings. You claim to love John Lewis and all that he stood for, but you rather name a bridge after him instead of passing the voters rights act so people can actually cross that bridge of poverty to live in a better, peaceful and just society.

I could go on and on to the break of dawn.

Fannie Lou Hamer said it best we are sick and tired of being sick and tired.

We’re sick and tired of laws that look like those old segregated Jim Crow laws that keep us from getting ahead.

We’re sick and tired of trying to prove to society that we are not animals, but human beings who not only want justice, peace and equality but deserve it.

We’re sick and tired of fighting the same old battle of we got to be three steps ahead of white people just to break even.

We’re sick and tired of being better than our white counterparts just to get half of what they have.

We’re sick and tired of not getting a seat at the table when it concerns us.

We’re sick and tired of good intentions but no good is being done that will enable us to get ahead.

We’re sick and tired of watching people tell us who we are and how we should act, what we should have or where we should live or how to stay in our place.

What do they think this is the Jim Crow era; even though they slowly and quietly trying to get back to a time when they were the majority and they had control over us as prisoners/slaves same thing.

Now they have the new Jim Crow called mass incarceration.

The funny thing is the Willie Lynch is still alive today and it’s even perpetuated on a daily basis, because some people don’t even recognize it or know the history behind it.

It’s Christmas time now and we all are reminded when we were Toys R us Kids. Waking up early in the morning to open up our toys. Girls waiting on baby dolls and boys waiting on trucks. What a wonderful memory.

However; we need to remind our children that there was a time when our toys were handmade and we couldn’t go and shop in the stores like we can today.

We must never let them forget where we come from and how far we have come with the grace of God, otherwise as the scripture says the generation after us won’t know their history or God.

Eventually that entire generation died and was buried. Then another generation grew up that didn’t know anything of God or the work he had done for Israel. Judges 2:10

ONLY GOD CAN STOP THE KILLING! IF WE JUST ASK!!!
