Last week will forever go down in history as the day the whole world saw what white privilege really means. For all the people who say they still don’t see it stop lying to yourself and burying your nose in the sand, because it’s so obvious even Steven Wonder could see it. Just in case you can’t I am here to show you, tell you, and teach you.
This is a picture of the national guards for the black lives matter march. As you can see guns are out and ready and these people are marching for their lives. They are tired of dying from police.
We are not safe in our homes, in our cars, at school, at our jobs, in our beds, or walking home with a sandwich. They said the sandwich looked like a gun and the picture with them pushing the police and holding something black don’t, that looks like a gun to me but then I’m not prejudiced and scared.
Being that I’m a spiritual person I can see things some of you can’t. I don’t know about yall but I am totally exhausted with EVERYTHING last year. So imagine my surprise just as I was about to exhale, when I looked on tv and saw terrorist activity against the capital with thousands of Trump people and 20 cops trying to hold them back, as they vandalized a federal government building, broke and entered a federal property, stole government property, while posing long enough to take pictures with the stolen property in their hand, held the House of Representatives as hostage, while they paraded around the building, beat an officer to death, and took selfies and only one person was shot by police?
What’s wrong with that picture? What’s the difference in the people who was looting and burning stores, from the people destroying government property, oh the black people were protesting the killing of black people everyday and everywhere and police never getting charged, while the rioters at the capital didn’t like the answers they got from the representatives, but their not called looters because they wasn’t stealing food or clothes just federal property, holding their confederate flags.
We still going through a pandemic and the last thing we need was pandemonium. This wasn’t just civil unrest this was total mayhem, the beginnings of anarchy. What I saw was not only white privilege, but I also witnessed a fear of losing control of not just the senate but of the world. A fear that people who have been counted out, ignored, rights trampled on, and punished for nothing more than the color of their skin, their sexuality, or socioeconomic stance in life would retaliate. Having been mistreated for hundreds of years most people would want revenge but in reality we just want equality.
The crazy thing is; it wasn’t only black people or people of color, but gay people, women, low income white people, and immigrants just to name a few. They just got fed up and sick and tired like Fannie Lou hamer did. Tired of watching injustices all around them, against their friends and families. So many people from all over the world stood their ground and not the kind like George killing a young boy eating skittles, but for the world to become a better place to live for everybody.
So I got a story to tell as I said before there is a logical and a spiritual reason why we will never get back to things as usual, its so simple you just might miss it. It’s GREED!!! Plain and simple. White Privilege at it’s finest.
Corporate America you have used and abused the lower class for so long you think it’s normal for you to have summer homes, cabins, cottages, and villas, while the people who make you rich are living in poverty. You think it’s normal for you to wear the best, and eat the best while your employees can barely afford to buy food from Aldi’s or buy clothes from Walmart. You wouldn’t have a business if it wasn’t for the working class, they are the ones who make your company a success. But many of them are struggling to pay their bills or keep a house over their heads, while you decide which house you will stay in for the winter. You don’t pay them what they deserve because you want another Mercedes.
Your white privilege has cost thousands of lives simply because; you refuse to wear a mask while taunting the slogan I’m American I have rights and freedoms. Your white privilege is the reason why you felt it was your right to go to the capital and invade a political assembly, just because you didn’t like the outcome of the democratic process.
Your white privilege is the reason the world is so full of hate and division, because you think you are better than anybody else and expect to be treated as such; because for centuries you were treated that way.
Your white privilege is why you feel entitled to ask personal questions and expect answers from anybody that you think is beneath you.
Your white privilege is why there is gentrification all over the world, because God forbid you have to live where minorities are; even if they were living there first.
Your white privilege is why we had slavery and now we have a new form of slavery, a new form of Jim Crow. Mass incarceration.
Your white privilege is the reason why certain schools in certain neighborhoods have better educational resources than others; which is why lori paid to get her daughters in your school.
Your white privilege is the reason the justice system locks up crack users and meth users get treatment.
What you don’t realize is that God is punishing you, corporate America for all your unrighteousness, evil, prejudice, intolerance, greed, selfishness, pridefulness, arrogance, conceitedness, divisiveness, injustices. I can’t name them all because I would run out of paper but you get the drift. That’s why there is no playoffs as usual, no Vegas as usual, no open house, or open restaurants, hotels, stores, no flying etc.
You say you are a Christian country, well I can’t tell because the bible says that we need to love each other as we love ourselves and help each other, if loving you is wrong I don’t want to be right. Jeremiah 52 tells you all about yourself (Babylonians)and it also tells you where you will be if you don’t change your ways. They destroyed the temple of the Lord.
They took pillars and all kinds of stuff, kind of like what we see here.
Now I am in no way comparing the House of the Lord to the Capital building, but you understand. There will be a high price to pay especially; for those who helped them and contributed to that rampage, not only will people see the double standard, but they will witness the blatant in your face bigotry. There were even off duty police and firemen involved. The hypocrisy of it all especially, when you hear about another black man killed by a cop or when you look back in history and some of the ku klux klan were police and firemen. It is a stain of 8 minutes and 46 seconds of blood we just can’t seem to clean off because it keeps happening over and over again for the last 100 years.
What is it gone take before you recognize us as Americans?
