POLITICS UNSUNG LESSON 2

There are three branches of government.

They are Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.

Executive consists of the President, Vice President, the cabinet members, and independent Government agencies such as the Federal deposit insurance Corporation (FDIC) they deal with our banks, as well as the environmental protection agency or better known as (EPA) which deals with the environment.

These agencies administer laws and federal regulations that only apply to certain areas.

1. Executive Branch:

  1. Enforce the law
  2. Vetoes laws
  3. Pardons people
  4. Appoints federal judges/justices
  5. They are elected every 4 years

Legislative consists of Congress, House of Representatives and 2 Senators for each state.

The number of congressman is based on the population of the state.

2. Legislative Branch:

  1. Creates laws
  2. Approves or disapprove Presidential appointments
  3. Approve Federal judges/justices
  4. They have impeachment power to override vetoes with a 2/3 vote.

Judicial consists of Supreme Court, Court of Appeal, and District courts.

3. Judicial Branch:

  1. Interpret the law
  2. Declare if law is constitutional or unconstitutional
  3. Supreme court has 9 judges/justices
  4. Can overturn rulings by other judges

Scotus means Supreme Court of the United States.

Flotus first lady of the United States

Potus President of the United States

Maga is a saying that Trump started which means Make America Great Again.

I’m trying to figure out when that was, because for 400 years black people have been slaves, lynched, murdered and sold, and have NEVER had equality or justice.

After he was impeached twice he left us a legacy of 3 conservative judges he appointed. Barrett, Kavanaugh, and Gorsuch and they will be there forever.

Still think your vote don’t count. Think again! They are part of the 5 who think that a woman’s body doesn’t belong to her.

As of now we are in the third reconstruction.

The first one was changing the laws, the second one was Civil Rights, now this one is trying to have basic equal human rights, and getting some of those trillions of dollars back, along with our freedom, our peace, and our pride. (Roland Martin)

DON’T MISS THE POLITICS“.(Dr. Pastor Howard John Wesley Jr.)
We been fighting for jobs.
We been fighting for peace.
We been fighting for equal rights.
We been fighting to stop the police, Ku Klux Klan, Karen and Ken from murdering us.
We been fighting to end police brutality.
We been fighting for decent housing
We been fighting to go to school.
We been fighting to breathe, eat, sleep, lay, learn, walk, talk, listen to music, ride, jog, march, drive, play, fly, shop, travel, and work.
They didn’t want us to vote so they came up with poll taxes. You got to pay to play so to speak. No money no honey in a sense. Pay a fee or you can’t vote. Then they came up with a literacy test that basically gave them the power to pass or fail us based on the answers we gave them. If we failed we couldn’t vote.
This is an example of a question asked in Mississippi by a white person, if you answered like a good ole boy you passed and you could vote, but if not you failed and you couldn’t vote.
Is the applicant of good moral character? If Not? Why? Does the applicant qualify? Passed or fail.
You also had to interpret a section of the constitution and then write an essay on the responsibilities of a good citizen and they selected the questions and chose if the answers were good enough for you to vote.
WE STILL TRYING TO VOTE!!!
These are some of the people who was murdered just trying to register people to vote.
May 7 1955 in Belzoni, Mississippi Rev George Lee first black person registered to vote used his pulpit and printing press to get people to vote. White people offered him protection if he would END voter registration he said no and he was murdered.
Still think your vote don’t count
August 13, 1955 Brookhaven, Mississippi Lamar Smith was shot dead by a white man in broad daylight he was an organizer for black people to vote. They never caught the killer.
Still think your vote don’t count
September 25 1961 Liberty, Mississippi Herbert Lee worked with civil rights leader Bob Moses to register black people. He was killed by a state legislator who CLAIMED self-defense and was never arrested and Louis Allen who witnessed the murder was later killed.
Still think your vote don’t count
Black people have always worked, so imagine our surprise and anger when they say black people are lazy. When we built this country, raised their kids, chauffeured them around, cooked, cleaned and now taking care of their parents in the nursing homes. For years we have worked and now they don’t want us to work, because they have to pay. Well they found a way around that by locking up most of the black men and then you become a slave again.
“When we was slaves we had ten jobs now we can’t get one”. (Paul Mooney)

Young people we need you to get out and vote like you did for President Barack Obama, because this election is for some very important positions that will affect us right here and right now.
Like our media platforms, free speech, and our rights. You see what happened. Now they talking about interracial marriage, gay rights, Tran’s rights, next they will be telling us who we can be friends with, etc. They trying to take us backwards, because they scared that white people will be the minority. No power, no privilege, no prestige, that’s why they want abortions illegal so white women can have more babies. Also women won’t be their bosses because they will be barefoot and pregnant.
The next lesson coming soon.
