WAIT I SAY WAIT

We wait in line for concerts, Grand openings, restaurants and black Friday.

Time is significant because you can’t get it back. There is no going back in time, if that were the case, I would have went back about 30 years ago, when I was 34 with no aches and pains.

Time has good and bad consequences.

8 Min and 46 Seconds had deadly consequences for George Floyd. I can’t breathe takes on a whole new meaning when you got covid and you are on a respirator.

Did you know that 80% of covid patients are black, and if we have to wait for our shot like we been waiting for our 40 acres and a mule there won’t be no need for a shot because we all will be DEAD, or was that the plan.

Covid is killing blacks at a rate of 2 times higher than it’s killing other people.

When white America catches a cold black America gets pneumonia. That is an African American aphorism (New Yorker)

How long before black people can get the shot? This wait could be the difference between life and death literally. The more important question is; can we trust them?

The Tuskegee experiment is still in the back of our minds, but with this new strain, which is supposed to be more contagious. I think I rather take a chance with it than without it.

Black and brown people are waiting for shots,

Hispanic babies are still in cages waiting for their parents,

Flint Michigan is still waiting for clean water, poor folks are still waiting for stimulus checks, and black people are still waiting for Justice. No Justice No Peace!!!

Everybody is waiting for something.

How can you not see the racial disparities even Ray Charles can see it, because it’s right in front of your face. Racial, economical, educational, legal, and Health disparities for black and brown people. DAILY!

Somehow the long lines have turned. Statistics show that black people getting covid has dwindled, while our white counterpart’s numbers are rising.

You want to know why? Because there are a lot of white people unknowingly with African American blood in them. Oops! I wasn’t supposed to tell yall that. Yall didn’t know that did you. Well you can blame your ancestors who were raping and sleeping with their black slaves. That’s why some black people are lighter than others, with small lips and noses or with straight hair and blue eyes.

Dr Kizzmekia Corbett

She is the senior viral immunologist at the Vaccine Research Center (VRC) at the National Institute of Allergy (NIAID) and infectious diseases and the National Institutes of Health (NIH). She has a PHD in microbiology and immunology from UNC-Chapel Hill University. She has been with the VRC since 2014 as the scientific lead of the coronavirus team. She helped developed the Moderna vaccine.

Dr Kizzmekia is a true hero in the fight against the virus. She truly will go down in history. Black history month may be over, but she epitomizes true black history and since its March women’s empowerment month she definitely is in a category all her own.

As we all know most of these deaths could have been prevented.
